AK-74M
The AK-74M was developed in 1987. It is the same as the AKM. It has been produced since 1991. In 1991, the Izhmash Izhmash factory began to fully produce AK-74 modified AK-74M assault rifles in the city of Izhevsk. In addition to some minor improvements, new black synthetic butts are also used in the production of rifles. Glass fiber filled polyamide is shaped like AK-74 fixed butt, and the butt groove is also like AK-74. In addition, AK-74M adopts reinforced muzzle device and dust cover. Each AK-74M is equipped with a side track bracket for optical installation. The AK-74M was ready to become a standard rifle in the late Soviet Union, and was later adopted as a standard rifle by the Russian Federation.

AK-12 is a series of modern assault rifles which have been improved and produced by the Russian Kalashnikov group after receiving the opinions of the Russian army on the common defects of AK gun family. It has been improved since 2010. This is the latest derivative of Russian AK gun family assault rifles, and it is proposed that they may be distributed to every unit of Russian army generally.

AN-94
Since 1974, the Soviet military proposed to develop new rifles, and the new generation of rifles was named "Abakan plan". After a series of tests, the code AN-94 designed by gennakin Nikonov and his team of yizevsk Machinery Factory defeated AEK-971 and other competitors, and was adopted by the Russian military at that time.
