Mod "M113a1 Armadillo" version 22.09.20 for Ravenfield (Build 21)
After weeks of brutal mountain engagements in Northern Arizona and house by house clearing in flagstaff, The Arizona Military successfully pushed out the Texan aggressors out of the Northern sections during Operation Jolly Roger. Further assaults were planned by Arizona to retake areas of New Mexico. As a political move to please New Mexico refugees into joining the ranks of theirs Arizona counter parts. However a ceasefire was demanded by NATO, following a string of disappearances and mutilations, the largest of which was an entire Texan Battalion disappeared after entering the mountains near Flagstaff and were later found by members of the Peace Corps. With their remains [REDACTED] and their [REDACTED] on trees. Both sides, blame each other, investigation ongoing, considering the removal of the [REDACTED] shares correlation with a specific Native American Folklore, some third parties have have been involved. However, with this ceasefire Arizona was able to focus on completing and debuting its new generation of Mechanized Calvary, the M113a1. While the IFV-50 Badger would still be circulation among Arizona’s mechanized divisions however as recovery and reconnaissance vehicles.
The M113 Armadillo would replace the Badger, as the backbone for Mechanzied Infantry. The Armadillo had a lot of advantages, over the Badger, the first being crew comfort and survivability. With the troop compartment being located in the rear it could comfortably fit 6-10 troops depending on role. Second was it’s armor. The Armadillo was impregnable against AP 30-06 and 50. Cal ammunition. Third was production, with International support from Europe in favor of Arizona over the Open Arms imitative where War Refugees and defecting Texan citizens were granted automatic Arizona Citizenship, meant that Arizona now had the capacity and resources needed to create a jack of all trades Armored Fighting Vehicle. If one armadillo was lost in battle two would be able to fill its place. Arizona Produced so many, that even Germany and the UK ordered special variants to be made to fit their doctrine. The Armadillo, would continue to see active service well beyond the conclusion of the Texas Invasion of Arizona.
